Most platformers punish you for getting hit. Glitch Wizard turns that expectation on its head — damage transforms you, and sometimes the transformation is an upgrade.
Gameplay
You're the Glitch Wizard, running through a gauntlet of bombs, spikes, and arrows. Getting hit doesn't kill you — it transforms you into a different wizard with different abilities. A more powerful wizard can jump higher, move faster, and float longer. But get hit again, and you might revert to the initiate. The only instant death is falling.
What Works
The transformation system creates fascinating risk-reward decisions. Do you intentionally take a hit hoping for a power-up? Do you play it safe with your current form? Each run plays differently based on which transformations you trigger, giving the game real replayability.
Verdict
Glitch Wizard's central mechanic is genuinely innovative. The uncertainty of each transformation keeps every run exciting, and the platforming is solid enough to support the experimentation.
